Casino Fundraising Reminder
Big thanks to the members who have already signed up! But we still have many positions that need filling.
Our event is less than two weeks away, December 7 and 8 at the Pure Casino Yellowhead.
Please find a shift that you can fill on our form: Volunteer Signup Form >>>HERE<<< Family or friends are welcome to lend a hand too.
Saturday Zwift Meetup Rides
Saturday mornings I’ll be leading a “Keep Everyone Together” ride on the Zwift virtual ride platform. I provide some structure to keep things interesting. Across the winter the sessions will get longer. For now, they are about an hour to an hour-and-a-half long.
Use this session to supplement your own Saturday workout plans and keep in touch with your Velocity club mates. I open an audio Zoom session so we can chat while riding.
I need to manually invite interested Zwift riders to these Meetups. To make it easier for me, please register yourself on this Zwift Meetup Registration Form >>>HERE<<<
You only need to register once, and I’ll keep inviting you from then on throughout the indoor riding season. No need to register again each week.
AGM Re-Elects President & Secretary
On November 22 the club held it’s AGM, with the primary need to elect two of our four executive positions: President and Secretary.
With much gratitude from all of us, Ed Heacock was acclaimed again as President and Dave Watson as Secretary.
Penticton Spring Riding Camp
We’ve pegged April 23 to May 1, 2022, for our riding camp this coming year. Fingers crossed, we won’t be derailed by COVID again. It’s been two years since the club has been able to ride together across the fantastic Okanagan Valley terrain!
A block of rooms have been set aside for the club at the Tiki Shores Motel. Please phone the hotel directly to book your own room, telling them you’re with the Velocity Cycling Club group – phone (250) 492-8769.
Do You Ride “Junk Miles?”
I have a simple 3 question quiz you can take to learn what Junk Miles might be, and if they’ve infected your riding.
Have you ever pushed yourself to your limit? Then how do you know you have one?
