The Velocity Jakroo kit store is now open and ready to accept your order.
The store will have preferential pricing available until March 21. Deliveries will then take place on about April 4 … just in time to get some new kit for the start of the season, and our Penticton riding camp at the end of April.
After this ordering window, kit will still be available on-demand, as soon as your order is received and delivered 2 weeks later. But pricing will be higher, at the 2-5 quantity level.
Jakroo has slightly modified the jersey styling, creating a bit of an angle to the rear pockets and a different collar. The Slim sizing is the same as before. The Relaxed fit is apparently a little more relaxed. Here’s the current size chart: Jakroo Sizing

Spring Thaw = Spring Riding
Though the club isn’t starting up regular outdoor riding just yet, members have been saying the roads in Strathcona County, east of the city, are remarkably ride-able for this time of the year. We’ve not had too much snow this winter. Only a few of the shady bits are still a bit damp.
You’ll still want to avoid city riding. The local streets are sandy and very wet in places. But if you hop in your car, drive to the Olympiette Centre or Ardrossan Rec Centre, you’ll avoid almost 100% of the sloppy stuff out there.
Layer up, and hit the roads!

March Club Meeting
At the beginning of this month’s meeting, I’m arranging to have former world champion, Olympic and Commonwealth medallist (and Velocity Cycling Club alumna!!) Tara Whitten give us a talk about her journey through a concussion leading up to the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
The meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday, March 22 at 7pm. All 2021 members will receive a Zoom Meeting invite via direct email.
