EMCC Tuesday Night Racing Starts Next Week!

The Edmonton Masters Cycling Club has a diverse set of events planned for 2022 that will help all riders become better racers: Individual Time Trials, Team Time Trials, Road Races, a Handicap Road Race, Criterium omnium format, regular Criterium format, Hill Climb as well as three Track events. Paramedics will be on site for the crits and road races for added safety.

This is a prime opportunity to get back into racing (after this 2-year COVID hiatus) or give it a shot without much pressure to see if racing is for you. No need for you to risk it all in a big weekend ABA-sanctioned race when you can try mid-week racing instead … and hone your race-winning moves too!

All you need as a Velocity club member is to take out a discounted second claim membership in EMCC and either pay $5 per race, or $50 to participate in as many of the races as you choose (they have about 20 races planned throughout the summer).

“Unorganized” Saturday Ride This Week

Just like last weekend, the Saturday ride will be an unorganized drop-in.

My suggested route is west, to sample the Alex Stieda Road Race Course. If you plan to race that event on May 7, I highly encourage you to go out beforehand and ride a loop of the course.

Meet at Hampton Terrace at 11am on Saturday morning. The rest of the ride details are in this club Event entry:
