Cross Country Ski Night
Join us for an all-abilities night of Cross Country Skiing on Wednesday, March 11. Meet at Goldbar Park (south side of the river east of 50th Street). We’ll be skiing from 7 to 8:30pm.
No club membership required. So, you can even bring a friend or family member if you like.
If you plan on attending we need to know 3 things from you:
- Send an email to club President Ed Heacock telling him you will be going to ski night: firstname.lastname@example.org
- In your email, tell Ed your preference for skate or classic skiing
- Indicate your skill level (beginner/intermediate/advanced). Remember all skill levels welcome!
Get Your Season Rolling at Our Penticton Riding Camp
If we get some steady weather like these past couple of days, then our local roads could be ready to ride (maybe) by the end of March. Then you’ll be able to get a start on your spring riding fitness … just in time to polish it off at our Spring Riding Camp in the Penticton – Okanagan region, April 25 to May 3.
Awesome roads, challenging climbs and reliable weather will be your special deals for the week!
The club has booked special room rates at the classic Tiki Shores Motel. Members can phone the hotel and mention they’re booking with “Velocity Cycling Club.”

Weekend Zwift Meetup Ride
Coach Kevin hosts Zwift Meetups on most Saturdays at 11am for at least 75 minutes. I provide some riding prompts, like varying your cadence, standing, sitting and sprinting to add some variety to the ride.
The next Meetups is Leap Day, February 29th. In March, I plan to host them every Saturday.
If you’d like to participate, you must be following me on Zwift. In Zwift’s Companion app (their blue icon app), use the “Find Zwifters” function, and search for “Kevin Rokosh.” I should show up. If possible, edit your own username to put “[VCC]” at the end. That will help me pick you out from the crowd. If I find your name in the list of my followers, then I’ll include you in the Meetup invite list.
If you have any questions, send me an email: Kevin@EpicSeasonCoaching.com
