Cyclocross World Championships
This weekend the 2020 UCI Cyclocross World Championships are in Dübendorf, Switzerland. Velocity’s former head coach and current Canadian National “three-peat” Champ Mike van den Ham will be representing all of our CX dreams of greatness!
You should be able to stream all the action with an account at FloBikes.com.
It might be a good idea to start a FloBikes subscription sooner than later anyway. They’ve snapped up Canadian broadcast rights for just about every cycling event this year … including the Tour de France. That’s right, there will be NO Sportsnet coverage. If you want to safely (and legally) watch any (and all) grand tour coverage in Canada this year you must subscribe to FloBikes. I guess as an added bonus they will carry almost everything else too, including the Spring Classics. Pro Cycling race broadcasting has gone 100% Internet streaming, at least in Canada.

Is a Trip to the Yukon on Your Bucket List?
Parks Canada in the Western Arctic asked to pass along this amazing adventure opportunity to see Ivvavik National Park.
The experience is a trip to their fly-in basecamp in the northern tip of the Yukon. While there, you’ll stay in a prospector tent, participate in guided hikes from Parks Canada staff, listen to stories from Inuvialuit hosts, eat traditional foods, and even have the chance to fish in the Firth river. This is one of the most remote National Parks in Canada, which very few people get to experience each year. Sometimes their visitors even catch a glimpse of a grizzly bear nearby, or get to see the 120,000 porcupine caribou that migrate past camp.
See more details in their Imniarvik Base Camp Trip poster.
Searching for 26″ MTB Wheels
Club member Brent Welsh is wondering if anyone in the club has a set of 26″ MTB wheels (with disc mounts) they’re willing to unload for a reasonable price.
If so, please text Brent at 780-918-9783 or email him at rbwelsh@gmail.com.
Weekend Zwift Meetup Ride
Coach Kevin hosts Zwift Meetups on most Saturdays at 11am for about an hour. I’ll give you some riding prompts, like changing your cadence or move to a standing pedalling position, to create a little variety in the ride.
This month I plan to host Meetups on February 8th and 29th.
If you’d like to participate, you must be following me on Zwift. In Zwift’s Companion app (their blue icon app), use the “Find Zwifters” function, and search for “Kevin Rokosh.” I should show up. If possible, edit your own username to put “[VCC]” at the end. That will help me pick you out from the crowd. If I find your name in the list of my followers, then I’ll include you in the Meetup invite list.
If you have any questions, send me an email: Kevin@EpicSeasonCoaching.com
