This is it — final boarding for the Airport Fondo. Doors are closing.
Confirmed Flights for Saturday, September 27:
- ✈️ Flight 737 – 160km Coach Kevin will drive a support vehicle. You can stash your extra layers, nutrition and hydration with him.
- ✈️ Flight Cessna – 100km
The Jumbo Jet will remain grounded this year. Too much risk of chasing the sunset.
📍 This week’s Saturday Ride will follow the Cessna route.
Skies are expected to be clear with a high around 17°. Don’t get left behind.

Saturday Ride
As mentioned, your regular Saturday ride this week will be the Cessna Fondo route, leaving at 8am from the Olympiette Centre.

Roger’s Harvest Ride
The Harvest Ride is a long-time Velocity Cycling Club fall tradition. It was the original idea of our dear club member Roger Tetrault, who lost his battle with skin cancer. In the spirit of cycling community fellowship, Velocity Cycling Club invites all club members and their friends and family to join us for a short fun ride on the trails of the Waskahegan Staging Area. For those who don’t have cyclocross, gravel or mountain bikes, we also offer a road ride option.
This year’s ride will take place on Saturday, October 11, 10:30am, followed by a club-hosted BBQ in the park. Please sign up for the event to help us plan the supplies for the BBQ.
