Penticton Camp

With our camp only a week away now – daily rides will start on April 24 and conclude on April 30 – I’d like to have a Zoom meeting to brief all those attending on the rough plan for the week, what rides to expect, and some tips to have your best experience.

If you have made your plans to go, please send me an email with “Penticton Camp” in the subject line. I’ll then send a follow-up email to everyone with a link for a Zoom meeting on April 19 at 7:30pm. Send your email to: coaching@VelocityCyclingClub.ca

Velocity Logo-ed Trucker Caps

So far we have more than 10 people interested in ordering one of these caps. I’ll take expressions of interest for one more week. Then we’ll get our order placed.

If you’ve missed the previous updates, it’s a black trucker cap (fabric up front with mesh material in back) with the Velocity logo embroidered on the front. Your cost will be about $20.

If you’d like to order one, email me with “Trucker Cap” in the subject line: coaching@velocitycyclingclub.ca

Saturday Ride to Recon the Stieda Road Race Course

It will be a bit chilly, but provided we don’t get any snowfall or damp roads by this Saturday, we’ll have our club ride on the west side of the city.

We’ll start at 11am from the Hampton Terrace shopping complex on the far west end of Lessard Road. We’ll take a route down to Graminia Road where we can make a full one lap circuit of the Stieda Classic Road Race course.

The Stieda Classic is scheduled to be the first ABA event of our 2022 season on the weekend of May 7 and 8. If you plan to race, you should make a recon ride of the circuit. So, if you don’t join us this weekend, find another time to do it on your own.

Planned Ride Route: https://www.strava.com/routes/2949868426262486770

I’ll need your name and an emergency contact to have a proper Emergency Action Plan if anything should go wrong. Please pre-register on this form:
