Airport Fondo Anyone?
I don’t want to miss putting the opportunity out there for members to test themselves again with the Airport Fondo. Scheduling made it too difficult for me to run this BIG riding day during the usual late August or early September times. I’m looking at Saturday, September 27 now. With sunset about 7:20pm that day, I’m hesitant about offering the Jumbo Jet route this year. But the 160km 737 and 100km Cessna routes are good options. For now, mark September 27th on your calendars, and use it as a goal to keep up your regular riding throughout the next few weeks.
Saturday Ride
This week I’ve created another new route, leaving from west St. Albert, and heading towards the same roads used when we’ve ridden north of Acheson. Meet near the Tim Hortons in the Riverside Landing shopping complex at 10am for a 61km ride. With the on-again off-again Air Quality advisories, check the website for any last-hour cancellations I might have to make.
Sunday Road Ride
Arneil has created a variation of his route out of the Tamarack neighbourhood. Meet-up near the Tim Hortons there at 9am on Sunday for a 110km ride.
Wednesday Hill Circuit
We’re losing evening light at an accelerating pace now. This week we’ll meet at 6pm in Emily Murphy Park for the punchy river valley loop.
