‘Cross Is Here!
In case you missed the message Dave sent out earlier this week Wednesday Night Cyclocross started this week and runs through October 8. September starts are at 7pm. October start are at 6:30pm. The locations will alternate between Argyll Park and Capilano Park. Next week will be at Capilano. $5/race, and everyone needs to be ABA club members – which means all VCC members are eligible!
And More ‘Cross Fun …
This weekend, new and experienced cyclocross riders can attend the Pavé Cross Camp at Argyll Park. Check-in opens at 9am on Saturday morning. Everything you need to know, including the Pre-Registration link is on this poster:
Afterburner Gravel Success
Big thanks goes out to Allan Plesniarski and Ed Heacock for all the work they put into organizing the Afterburner Gravel this past Sunday. It was a hot and dusty edition this year with about 50 racers spread out across our two routes. And thanks again to our team of volunteers keeping all the details running smoothly throughout the day.
Saturday Ride
This Saturday I’ve planned a 58km route that starts near The Quarry Golf Course, using the new footbridge across the North Saskatchewan River. With this heatwave continuing through at least Saturday, let’s start at 9am to beat the heat (if we can).
Sunday Gravel Ride
Meet Arneil and/or Jason at Millennium Place in Sherwood Park for another gravel ride.
Wednesday Hill Circuit
If you’re not hitting the Wednesday Night CX race, then come out for the Hill Circuit at 6:30pm, leaving from Emily Murphy Park. I’m using a short punchy river valley loop for the final few weeks while we’ve still got enough daylight.
