ReconciliACTION Ride
This Saturday I’ll be riding my annual ReconciliACTION Ride for Wenjack starting at 10am from the main parking lot in downtown St. Albert.
I hope you’ll be able to join me on this 163km ride to specifically honour our Treaty 6 connection to the lands we ride every day in the Edmonton area. The Downie Wenjack Foundation was created to build and share educational resources for all of us to learn the full story of our colonial past and it’s horrific implications for the First Nation, Metis and Inuit peoples. This particular week is very special for the Downie Wenjack Foundation: Gord Downie died on October 17, 2017 and Chanie Wenjack on October 22, 1966.
I’ll be pledging $163 to the Downie Wenjack Foundation, $1/km for my ride on Saturday. I hope you can join me and #DoSomething similar.

AGM and Club Party on November 4
We have the Belgravia Hall (11540 73 Ave NW, Edmonton) booked for our AGM. Tickets for the meal will be $10 per person and $25 per family. The meal will be an Italian buffet, catered by Chianti.

At the Annual General Meeting, we will:
- Approve the financial statements.
- Elect members to the Board of Directors.
Penticton Camp Dates
For those needing to plan their holiday dates far in the future, we’ve pencilled in the week of April 27 to May 5, 2024, for next year’s riding camp. Tentative details are now on our Event Calendar.
