Ride Update Notices
I use a notice bar at the top of our website to publish any last-minute ride changes. Rain-outs and poor air quality are the usual reasons we cancel or change our ride plans. Head to the website now, and you’ll see a test message I’ve put there.
Saturday Ride
If weather permits (look for an update on the website if we cancel) our ride will leave at 9am from the Colchester cul-de-sac for a 100km ride.
Sunday Ride
Sunday’s weather forecast looks a little better. We’ve planned a new start location for a 77km route taking us west of Highway 60. Meet in the parking lot of Riverbend Square at 9am. We’ll take the bike paths and the footbridge under the Henday Drive bridge and make our way over to Woodbend Road.
Thursday Hill Circuit
With track sessions continuing on Wednesdays, we’ll run the hill circuit on Thursday evenings at 6:30pm this season. And we can move the start location back into Hawrelak Park, where the work over the past 3 years has finished. Meet up in the North parking lot area to head out on a 2-hour circuit of some challenging river valley climbs.

Sunday sessions continue at 6pm for 1 hour. Wednesday’s are 1-1/2 hours starting at 8pm.
Track League Is Back!
Through the spring and summer, Track League will run every second Thursday. Come test those track legs you’ve been building during our Velocity sessions. Register before noon each race day.

First Aid Training Available
Ideally, anyone who is going to be a Ride Leader should have some First Aid training. The AVA is organizing a group First Aid course on June 15. There will be a cost, but I’m not sure what it will be. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll forward your name on to Tanya. Email: [email protected].
