Saturday Club Ride
This week’s ride will be about 80km, heading west, leaving at 10am from Edgemont Landing. Please see the event calendar for the route details.
Canadian Road Nationals
I had a busy week helping out the Ecoflo Chronos U23 team at Road Nationals this past week. It was a great team of 8 young men who put everything on the line in the Time Trial, Road Race and Criterium. It was well worth it, as they came away with much success!
Jonas Walton was 3rd in the U23 Time Trial. Philippe Jacob, Nicolas Rivard and Jerome Gauthier swept the U23 podium 1-2-3 places respectively. Only pro-rider Nick Zukowsky beat them, which means Jacob and Rivard also took silver and bronze in the Elite category!
Philippe Jacob had an awesome criterium too, winning 4 primes totalling $900 and placing 2nd on the podium!
Coach Holiday
I’ve got a short 2-week holiday coming up, July 1-15. This means my track session will be cancelled these 2 weeks. But the rest of your weekly club training rides will continue. You should be aware of the basic formats for all by now. I’ll keep posting ride routes for your Saturday adventures and maintaining the club communications while I’m away. Please feel free to email me any of your questions or concerns in the meantime: coaching@velocitycyclingclub.ca.
