Monday Track Night
Our Track Night start time will bump up an hour to run from 5 to 7pm. This week we’ll start with a proper warm up and then start working on some cadence drills in a safely separated format on the black line. I’ll also show you how to select and change the gear you’ll use for these workouts.
Please register so we can get the bikes out and ready to use: Monday Track Sign-Up
Wednesday Hill Circuit Night
Hill Night continues with some long (for Alberta, anyway) and short hill repeats. Grab your climbing legs and come challenge yourself!
Pre-register for this ride on the form >>>HERE<<< by noon, Wednesday, August 11.
Airport Fondo
Some of you rode the Velocity Airport Fondo a few years back – a fun long club ride that tried to hit all of the big and small airports in the Edmonton region.
I’m bringing this club-only event back on Saturday, September 4 (the long weekend Saturday). I hope you can join us for some or all of this BIG ride – details will be worked out in the next couple of weeks. It’ll be a great final training ride opportunity too for anyone planning to ride the DV100 the following weekend.
Urban Fondo Price Reduction
The Urban Cycling Fondo being organized by the Edmonton World Triathlon has a sponsor, so they’ve been able to reduce their price to $60.
Registrations are now open for this event on August 22. Find out more and visit the registration link >>>HERE<<<.
I have always struggled to achieve excellence. One thing that cycling has taught me is that if you can achieve something without a struggle it’s not going to be satisfying.
