Race the Clock
On Monday May 20 Challenge Yourself to a 25 km Time Trial!
Time trials are for limit-seekers. They force you to push hard against the edge of your anaerobic threshold. If you enjoy a personal challenge, then time trials are your battlefield!
There are no other riders to worry about like typical mass-start events. No crashes, no wheelsucking, no team tactics to mess with your race. Just you, your bike and the course. Time trials are truly the bike race that welcomes everyone … from novice to expert!
Beautiful Sturgeon County offers you a rolling course on Sunnyside Road (RR240 – on the south edge of Bon Accord). This road is perfectly smooth, but will stretch your pacing with the testy descent and climb through the Sturgeon River valley.
Open to all ABA Licensed racers in Categories 1/2 to 5, a separate U17 division, and a Para Athlete division. Non-licensed riders can try the Citizen Category. So come out and try the “race of truth” as you test your fitness and will against the clock.
Are you training for a triathlon? There’s no better way to measure your true race-pace. Register in the Citizen Category if you don’t hold an ABA license.
$$ Prizes will be awarded for the ABA-sanctioned categories as well as the Citizen’s category $$
Registration closes Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:59pm.
