Tour de France Watch Party
Mark your calendars for the last day of Le Tour, July 27! Like we did for Paris-Roubaix in the Spring, we’ll gather around the big screen in Curtis Roper’s Noralta Real Estate boardroom and watch the final Sunday of action on the streets of Paris. Tour organizers have changed-up the final day of racing, making the finale a circuit race up Montmartre and down onto the Champs-Elysee. That little climb might take the final sting out of the typical sprinters’ legs, giving what could be a surprise ending to this year’s Tour! Stay tuned for a sign up sheet, letting us plan the morning’s coffee and snacks.
Looking for a Charity Event?
This year, the Glenrose Hospital Foundation will host a fundraising ride around Pigeon Lake on September 6. Give your summertime riding a better focus, with the Courage Ride as your goal 58.5km event. All funds go towards the rehabilitation care that the Glenrose Hospital provides to our community.
Saturday Ride
One more time at Ardrossan. Next week I’ll find a west-side start location. This week’s route will take you up to Fort Saskatchewan. This is the last ride I’ll be missing this month. Please be kind to each other, download the route, and select Rider Leaders for each group. It’s best to offer at least 2 speed groups, so no one gets left behind.

Monday Track Night
I’ll be back this Monday to lead our track session. Get your head-start on the indoor season before the end of summer! Be on the rail and ready to ride at 6:30pm.
Tuesday MTB Ride
MTB riders can always benefit from the skill work they find on the river valley trails. Even ‘cross riders can find a jump on the fall season with some summertime trail riding.
We’ll take this week off so you can get caught up with your bike maintenance. Next week Justin will transition the ride to a new start location.
Wednesday Hill Circuit
Our hill work makes great interval work! Meet up in Emily Murphy Park for the full circuit again this week.
