BMX Nationals in St. Albert
Many of our BMX racers will be challenging themselves on the state-of-BMX-racing-art track in St. Albert this weekend. It’s National Championships, so the field will be top-notch! We hope to see some podium appearances of the Velocity colours. Best of luck to all the team!
Saturday Ride
Our Saturday ride will be a shorter one. Some members will be racing the Afterburner the next day and want a simple ride or a day off. Others (like me) will be involved with last-day organization duties before driving to Alder Flats later. Turn out could be low. But I’ll put a circuit on the calendar anyway.
Meet at the Olympiette Centre at 10am for a 58km ride down to the 4-way stop on TWP 510. If numbers permit, split yourselves into 2 speed groups. Ride Leaders in each group must have the route downloaded and not leave members behind during the ride.
Monday Track Night
This could be the last session at Argyll … forever! If daylight and scheduling permits, I’ll try to run a session or 2 in September. By October, we should know what our indoor session times will be through the fall and winter months. Stay tuned!
Wednesday Hill Circuit
The Hill Circuit is still on at 6:30pm, leaving from Emily Murphy Park. I’ll lead a road circuit to tune-up your cyclocross engine.
