Velocity Track Session – CANCELLED

Coach Kevin is helping as an assistant coach to the Premier Tech U23 Cycling Team during Canadian Nationals Week in Edmonton.

Where: Argyll Velodrome

When: 5pm – 7pm – This is our on-track time. Arrive about 15 minutes early if you can, to get set up.

What: 2 hours of track skills and drills.

How: If you’ll be using one of our club bikes, bring your pedals and the approximate seat height of your road bike.

Remember: the COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t disappeared yet. There are still PLENTY of risks, especially for the unvaccinated. Though vaccination is not mandatory to participate (this could change), Velocity Cycling Club strongly encourages you to get fully vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus and its variants.

Emergency Action Plan (EAP)

Always carry your ID.

If any mishap happens to you or another rider on the track:

1. Ensure you are safely off the track.
2. Inform the Velodrome Manager in the clubhouse office of the emergency situation
3. Call 911 if needed
4. Station a rider to direct bystanders away from the scene.
5. While waiting for 911 help to arrive, administer any first aid you know that will help.
6. Send a rider to the facility entrance gate to direct emergency services into the site.
