Come watch the Giro with us at Giant Edmonton (and new Cafe!!) from 8:00am – 9:00am this Saturday (May 27) before the ride or before you head out to the Steida Classic.
This stage is the last chance for Quintana to get a gap in the mountains before Dumoulin almost certainly clobbers him in the Time Trial on Sunday. That should lead to some pretty exciting racing, right?
This is open to all clubs, so if you have a friend that wants to join, invite them!
Where: Giant Edmonton
When: Saturday, May 27th. Open at 8:00am, stage should finish around 9:00am.
What: Watch the Giro with friends! Drink Coffee!
Alongside our Spring Club Social Event at Chianti’s on April 12th, we will also be having a Women’s Ride Meet and Greet at 7pm on Wednesday, April 5th at MKT Fresh Food / Beer Market. The evening will be an opportunity to meet Beth, talk about the program, and just get a chance to hang out with some of the other women who will be taking part in these rides. Whether you plan on coming to ever single week or just want to check the club out, this is the perfect place to kick off the season! Continue reading
With the spring cycling season fast approaching and several club members ready to head off to Penticton for the annual Velocity Training Camp, we thought it would be an appropriate time to have a pre-season social night!
What does that mean? The social night is basically a gathering of those that would like to get together to renew old acquaintances, see new members of the club, or just have some good food and enjoy a few beverages. Plus you always get to see who trained the hardest over the winter (note: it won’t be Paul Ermantrout).
When: April 12, 2017 (Wednesday evening)
Time: 6:30 until …… whenever you decide to go home!
Where: Chiantis Restaurant on Whyte Avenue – 10501 – 82nd Avenue
What: Each person is responsible for their own food and beverage tabs.
Chiantis was the provider of our food for the annual club party and are avid supporters of cycling. Ken Rubuliak, owner, has graciously agreed to set aside a portion of the restaurant for us to ensure we sit together as a group. He also indicated that he will come up with various specials for the club (i.e. extending Tuesday Happy Hour drink prices until Wednesday).
If you can attend, add your name to the form below so we can put together some numbers for the restaurant.
Hope to see you there!
Coming to you next week Friday (November 25)! Come celebrate our accomplishments from this season at the year-end party. There will be a catered dinner, a cash bar, and awards.
This year the event will be preceded by the Annual General Meeting. The AGM is great opportunity for you to become more involved in the club by voting for, nominating, or perhaps even becoming one of the Board Directors. On that note, please follow the link to learn how to nominate someone (or be nominated) for a position. Remember, you don’t need to attend the AGM to be nominated.
For all the details about both the AGM and Year End Party, follow the link! Please note that you must register on Zone4 by Wednesday, November 23 at Midnight.

WHHAAAAATTTT! In case you haven’t noticed yet, Edmonton is home to a new World Champion! Juventus’ Stefan Ritter just won a Gold Medal in the Junior Men’s Kilo. Stefan’s result highlights a summer where three of Juventus’ Juniors headed to the World Championships.
However, heading to the World Championships is very expensive, so Juventus has organized a fundraiser, happening Saturday, July 23, alongside this weekend’s Track Provincial Championships to help cover some of the costs that these promising athletes (and their families) are incurring to pursue cycling at the highest level.
Interested in going? Check out all the details here. This is a great opportunity for us to support our cycling community and get these crazy fast juniors to the next level!
