Happy Holidays everyone! Do to the high consumption of Egg Nog, we won’t be having a ride on Christmas day, but besides that the schedule is as usual. If you are interested in getting out (or rather, in) a little more this week, make sure you check (or post) which rides you’ll be doing on Zwift to meet up with other club members.
On a different note, our friends at the Argyll Velodrome Association are scrambling to find enough people to fill the volunteer spots at their Casino and have asked us to spread the word:
“The Argyll Velodrome Association is having a casino next week from Thursday to Saturday and we have found ourselves unexpectedly short 3 volunteer positions. I know Velocity Cycling Club enjoys the track, track league and the clubhouse amenities so I’m throwing out an appeal for help your way. We had things covered but like I said, unexpected problems came up. We need 3 chip runners on Friday: 11:30AM to 7:15PM and 2 from 6:30PM to 3:15 AM The link to volunteer is here: https://www.volunteersignup.org/PLFYM“
Please don’t forget the we also have our own Velocity Cycle Club Casino Fundraiser coming up on February 16th and 17th and are still looking for volunteer to fill some positions there. For more information about that, please follow the link.
We’ve released the dates for our 2017 Spring Training Camp in Penticton. You can read all about it by following the link.
Lastly, Aerobic Power, the gym where we do out Indoor Training workouts, is offering five days in indoor training over the holiday’s (from December 27 – December 31). For more information, see the flyer in the link.
