Weekly Update: October 24-30

After missing out on racing last weekend, you have the chance to make up for it by heading down to Calgary for the final weekend of ABA racing in Alberta at the ever popular Beans n’ Barley race and

As you’ll see in the schedule below, our rider schedule is starting to thin out substantially. We’re working on our winter schedule right now (start getting excited for fat bike rides, indoor trainer sessions, and cross country skiing!), but for the time being we’ve started a Tuesday evening winter ride from  Velocity Cycle for fat bikes, ‘cross bikes, and mountain bikes alike. Remember to bring your lights!

In the meantime, please fill out our winter ride survey to let us know what times work for you to ride.


Day by Day Schedule


Tuesday, October 25: Tuesday Winter Ride

Start Time: 6:00pm at Velocity Cycle

Details: Come play in the snow/mud/trails for 1.5-2 hours! Fat Bikes, Mountain Bikes, and ‘cross bikes are all welcome. Lights and bell required.


Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30: Beans N’ Barley and Deadgoat Supercross

The last race weekend of the year in Alberta!

Notes

  • Our Calendar is always up to date, however changing conditions may require a last minute update or cancellation which will be announced on Twitter. Watch the @VelocityBikeAB Twitter feed for any last minute changes or cancellations. This feed is also shown on the main page of the website.
  • We are insured by the the Alberta Bicycle Association who requires all riders on any scheduled club group ride be a member of the club. Please check out our Membership page for details and to learn about our trial membership.

  1. Hi Mike! It’s Anna (Shane Rush’s wife! I wanted to tell you that I understand you guys are thinking of doing club Aerobic power computrainer classes!? I think that would be awesome! I did that once a week last year and it was great! I vote for that!!!!
