Weekly Update: October 10-17

Velocicross was a huge success with record attendance, preposterously dirty bikes, and some of the craziest conditions every seen in Alberta. A huge thanks to everyone who stepped up to help make this event happen.

It was fall a week ago, but it looks like it’s winter now! Unfortunately winter means that a lot of our regular club rides are disappearing from the calendar. I’m working on a new slot of winter rides to fill there place, but for right now we are in the in between season. But don’t worry. There is still a ride on Tuesday and two ‘cross races this weekend to enjoy!

With that, the end of our cycling season is looming in the horizon. While that may be a little sad, it also means that it’s time to recognize some of the outstanding members who have contributed to make our club what it is by nominating them for a 2016 Velocity Cycling Club Award. If you have someone in mind, please fill out the form in the link
