Weekly Update: May 2-8

Track is back! Starting this Monday, coach Randy Murchison will be hosting the Monday Track Sessions geared towards both people new to the Track and those looking for some extra training on the Velodrome. On top of that, the Argyll Velodrome Association is starting up Track League this Thursday. Just remember, if you’ve never ridden the track before, be sure to try it out on Monday’s beginner training before heading over to Track League.

There will be no scheduled road ride this Thursday. Why? Now that Track League is up and running, the road ride on the first Thursday of every month will be cancelled to encourage everyone to head on over to the Velodrome. Not only is track a pile of fun, but it also helps even the most experienced road riders with bike handling skills, leg speed, and provides multiple opportunities to try out different race tactics in a single evening.

Lastly, we still have lots of rides going on geared towards new cyclists. If you are new to the sport, the Learn to Ride Clinics and Casual Saturday Rides are where you want to be!
