Track Riding Basics for New Adult Riders

The intention of this coaching and riding session at the Velodrome is to first develop an understanding of common terms of reference used at the track to ensure safe behavior ( knowing the do’s from the don’ts) on the track. This first step assists the coaches in introducing basic riding skills in a safe manner as the session progresses. All this to get you riding!
This one time afternoon session is for new riders (age 16 and up) interested in the AVA Monday night training sessions that run throughout the track season. It is being introduced to give additonal basic instructional time which can be difficult to do on our first regular training night.
Regular track training sessions start on Monday May 4 with new riders encouraged to come at 5 p.m. for additional coaching with the regular program starting at 6:30 p.m.

When?
This one-time clinic is on Sunday, May 3 from 1 to 3pm

Where?
Argyll Velodrome, 6850 88 St

What to bring?
Your shoes, helmet and pedals along with warm clothing as we will still ride even if cold.
